My Life

A Different Way to Fight Terrorism

911Thank you to all those who serve around the world in dangerous places. Thank you to those who gave their lives saving others on 9/11. Thank you to the millions who protect and serve us each day.

On a day where we remember the victims of 9-11 and the world of terrorism that we live in, I wanted to share this video of US veterans who are using their skills to provide humanitarian care in the most dangerous places in the world.
Terrorists use the severe need of these desperate people to gain their allegiance – whether through fear or brainwashing or defeat. Often, the actions of the US and specific Americans fuel this whether we want to admit it or not. If we had more active policies of humanitarian care in these areas of the world (preferably before things get so bad), then it could be one of the most powerful initiatives we take as Americans in fighting terrorism.
Watch this video and let us remember that the most powerful way to fight for justice in the world doesn’t require violence.
