Details, details
Thursdays are my day off each week since Sundays are a work day. I slept in a little and then worked around the house on projects. My jeep was at the shop for new brakes and rotors in the front. A nice $200 unexpected bill this month. A small price to pay for being able to stop, I suppose. My little red jeep is 9 and 1/2 years old. It was my first car purchase and it has served me very well. However, I know the day is coming very, very soon when I will need to get another vehicle. I have no idea when or what I will get. Maybe a Hummer . . . or an Escort. Just depends on how I’m feeling that day.
Anyway – I spent the entire afternoon on the hunt for decorations and supplies for Common Ground’s new room at church. We move into a new space this Sunday and I’m trying to get it all ready. Its a cool diner/50s theme which I think is very fun and festive. I’ve got a few things ready for this Sunday but still several projects that will have to happen at a later date. I love dreaming up things but it is sometimes a challenge for me to do the details that are necessary to make the dreams a reality. I start a lot of things but have trouble finishing them. A perfect example is cross-stiching. In middle school, I learned to cross stitch. (where you put thread through fabric making little "x" that eventually look like a picture.) At one time, I had five different cross-stitch projects going. And I never finished any of them. Not one. And I’ve done that with many other things as well. So, as you can see I sometimes have trouble fini……
Played tennis tonight with Michelle Terriquez (aka Barton) which was fun. I am still really sore from kick-boxing but I managed to get some good hits in and some good exercise which is the point. Then we had a good chance to catch up on life since she got married August 13.
Time to sign out. Tomorrow is really hectic at work. I need to get ready to be out of the office for basically 9 days and that always means lots of loose ends to tie up before I can go.

You did a great job with the new Common Ground room. The diner theme works well — just keep bringing the food!
