Ode to Kris Swanigan

Yes . . . once again I’ve altered the look of my website.  Just trying out some new things . . . seeing what I like.  If you notice in my new banner (thanks to Kris for the design), I have my own domain name now – www.melissahatfield.com.  It will take a couple of days to get it up and running but I thought it would be easier for people to remember than yutegal. 🙂  I’m just thinking of you.  So, anyway, bear with me as I work out some kinks and the like on the new look and new site.  You can always come here through the old domain which is www.yutegal.blogs.com

Jeffcap_2Back to my "ode" to Kris Swanigan. Kris was an unexpected blessing today!  We  ended up having lunch together which was great – thanks for the great conversation, Kris.  Then, I went back with him to the capital building to see where he has worked this summer.  We looked for Preston but he was off fighting for justice in the proper legislative way. All I will say is that Preston will lick injustice, seal deals and stamp out evil through his work.   Anyway, Kris and I were able to sneak up to the top of the Capital.  It had been a long time since I’d been up to the top of the dome but it was the first time I climbed the steep, endless stairs in heels and a dress in 90 degree weather.  Interesting . . . and very warm.  But it is such a beautiful view of the city and a clear day with which to admire it.  So we had a great lunch and it was a very welcomed break in the day.  Plus – Kris put together for me an awesome looking desktop and my very cool banner.   Kris – props to you!  Glad we got to spend some time together before you head back to school.  You’re awesome and cool (but not as cool as you were at Subway today!)

Tonight was our youth group swim party.  We had a good time and it was good to catch up with some of my youth that I haven’t seen in a while.  It was a pretty relaxing evening.

And Preston – thank you.

Peace – Melissa
