Some Hope For Your Cries

woman-praying-silhoutte“Many years later the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned under their slavery and cried out. Their cries for relief from their hard labor ascended to God:

God listened to their groanings.

God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

God saw what was going on with Israel.

God understood.

Exodus 2:23-25 (the Message)

Came across this gem this morning in my reading. I love the four succinct bullets that capture God’s response to His children’s groaning.
I know so many of you are crying out to God for relief.  May you find comfort and promise in God’s faithful response.

God listens.

God remembers

God sees.

God understands.
